New: The Madame Blanc Mysteries TV Guide

The Madame Blanc Mysteries · Series 5 · Fountain

Sally Lindsay and Steve Edge return as Jean and Dom, preparing to tie the knot. But nothing can prepare them for the unexpected obstacles standing in their way in a new series with more mind-boggling mysteries, murderous twists and eye-popping antiquities than ever before. As Jean and Dom's Christmas Eve wedding drawing closer, the village is shaken by the murder of Mayor Stephanie Arquette, whose body is discovered in the historic fountain. The killing comes at a particularly sensitive moment: controversial redevelopment plans are about to change the square, and tensions around the work have divided local opinion. Jean is soon drawn into Caron's investigation. The mayor's financial dealings, her relationships and the redevelopment itself all offer possible motives, while builder Eddie Day quickly comes under scrutiny. But Jean is troubled by details that suggest the crime may be rooted in something much older than a dispute over money or planning permission.
